Mun San's trip to Penang
(Updated on 19th Nov 2007: Just found out from Wei Keong's blog that Yin Wan's wife's name is Vivian).
Mun San was in Penang a few weeks back. During the trip there, she managed to meet up with three Seaportians who are now staying and working there. Two of them are married to each other... Yes, they are NG Wei Keong and Wai Kuan. The other is another Seaportian we managed to finally link up early this year -- partly because of this site! He is non other than OI Yin Wan.

L-R: Mun San, Wai Kuan, Collin, Wei Keong, Mr & Mrs Oi Yin Wan
Sorry la... Forgot to ask them for Yin Wan's wife's name... Anyway, here's another look at the lovely couple...

Mr & Mrs Oi Yin Wan
Finally, here's a closer look at Wei Keong and Wai Kuan's handsome son - Collin NG.

If you want to get in touch with Wei Keong, Wai Kuan or Yin Wan, just leave them a comment...

Peck Yen just gave birth to a baby boy on Tuesday. Congratulations to Peck Yen and Chih Hsiung. I will try to get updates and maybe some photos from them...

I just realised I didn't mention that Dean became a father a few months back... Oooops... Sorry, Dean. You can check out his own space in the cyberworld - http://deanarif.blogspot.com.
Last but not least, Adrian TAI has just recently changed job. He's no longer with the pharmaceutical company. His new office is in Kelana Jaya.

Emily FOO (1994)
Some would remember her as FOO Ai Lin's lil sister... :)
But Emily FOO deserves more than that... She started her own Professional Executive Search firm named Evenstar. Evenstar specialises in the professional services or the IT industry. So, if you're ever thinking of moving to a new job, do submit your resume to her through Evenstar's website - http://www.evenstar.com.my.

Emily FOO
Besides that, Emily just got married about 2 weeks ago! So congratulations to Emily and her hubby - Terence. Do drop by their wedding website. And don't forget to sign their guestbook!

Evon HO (1997)
I first met Evon a few years ago. She was, as she puts it, my old office neighbour but it was only recently that I found out that she is a Seaportian. Well, I didn't really find out until she told me. And even then, she only mentioned it after talking to another mutual friend (also her colleague... and my former colleague). Confused?!
I'm beginning to think the world is NOT that big after all...

Evon HO
Anyway, Evon is now a pharmaceutical sales representative. In other words, she's a drug-pusher (ethical drugs). :)
She says she was from 5 Bayan. According to Evon, she is a very quiet and low profile girl back in Seaport. Hmmmm...
Oh ya... She's still single.
Well, do drop her a note or two in the comments section and I'll try to get her to reply here as well.

Merina YONG Mei Yau (1993)

Merina YONG
After Seaport, Merina did her Business degree locally. She was partying like crazy all this while, apart from working hard. But over time, she has kinda slowed down a lot. As she puts it, "When you reach the big three, clubbing would be an occasionally thing."
Merina is currently working in Sri Hartamas as a Sales and Marketing Manager for a company dealing with electrical and consumer products. Her job requires her to travel around every now and then - locally and overseas.
Before that, Merina was in IT for a few years, was working in FTEC as their Product Manager for notebooks and PCs.
Merina has a handful of x-Seaportians whom she kept in touch with for all these years. They are mostly from the Arts stream. These are people like her 'chimui' such as GOH Siew Fong, Judy Lyn, CHAN Mei Ling, NG Yen Ney and Sharon WONG.
Occasionally, she also meets up with other Seaportians like HO Wei Kiat, LIM Bee Wan, NG Pei Sze, PHUAH Wei Wei, TSING Tsui Hoong, WONG Wai Mun, LEE Mun Fei, TAN Chin Ee and the rest. Merina was also hanging out with Stanley TAN, Adrian LOKE, LIM Sin Onn, "Fei Na" (Steven) and Harris for quite awhile last year.
She added that mMost of them are already married with one or two kids, except for a few who still wants to remain single... :)

Updates from Winnie CHAN
From Winnie herself..
"I have been very busy lately lots of things happened, lots of changes... which explains my being MIA from your forum.
From my last update to you, I think you know that I left TSA and joined Vision Four Media Group? My stint there lasted 9 months... Left that company in May to pursue another offer... I'm now a headhunter for a company headquartered in London and based here. We specialize in Sports, Media, Entertainment, Leisure and Hospitality. So yeah life's been good and hectic! Then as if there isn't enough uncertainty... My boyfriend Ian landed a job back in Liverpool where he came from ! Would be headed back there in a month's time and I'll be joining him in as soon as 2 months' time or by the end of the year depending on how things pan out with my company :)
Would definitely like to meet up with you guys before I ciao... Date and time to be confirmed !!!"
There you have it. We're going to arrange for a meet-up soon. Also, Winnie has just started her own blog! I'm waiting for her to give me the green light to publish her blog's URL. I can understand since I have been getting reports of a stalkers going around harassing some of you...

Lannie LOKE Suet Leng
From Lannie herself:
I don't think most of you can remember me much. I wasn't in SM Seaport but I did my primary school in SRK Kelana Jaya and after that I was in SM Subang Jaya and SM Subang Utama.
I came to know this forum recently. Anyway, Adrian asked me to join in.
How should I introduce myself? I used to wear pair of thick specs and on the plump side when I was in SRK Kelana Jaya. I only have contacts with Cynthia Lim after I left primary school.
I'm married to a dutch and currently residing in The Netherlands. I have two sons, Mika and Kimi, 5 and 3 years old. Currently, I'm a SAHM (stay at home mum).
That's all I can say about myself.

Quick update
Nope... This site is NOT dead! :)
We just have very little materials to publish. As you know, Seaportians are a very shy lot... So, guys and girls, please do:
1. drop me an email (myseaport[at]gmail[dot]com) with some gossips or even just a general update like you've moved to a new state, just got married, etc...
2. join the forum and post the updates yourself! :)
Now... Some updates. A few of us met up recently at Ming Tien, Taman Megah. FOO Ai Lin was able to join us that night. Yes, she's back in town. Those who dropped by were ONG Chong Heng, Siew Wai, Jia Ying, Mun Loong, Kim Leong, Jane, baby David, Azri, Zaifuddin, Kim Chuan, Eu Jin, Derrel, Su Fei, Xiao Fen and myself... Errr... Did I miss out anyone?
I found out...
1. Lim Soon Huat is getting married
2. Lai Chee Chong is getting married
3. Ching Lit is now a mummy...
So congrats to all... :)

Wedding went on well with a crowd of about 950 people comprising of family members and friends. There was also a lion dance performance by the scouts in his place. It was a memorable night alright as the wedding lasted till 4am in the morning entertaining friends in the house. The newly wed then proceeded to the Hilton PJ Hotel at about 4.30am in the morning.

Vijiandran and his wife went to Sabah for their honeymoon on the 5th till the 9th of December 2006. They went to 2 places - Kundasang, a town at the foot of Mount Kinabalu. According the Viji, the place was simply marvelous! They also went to Kota Kinabalu itself where they stayed in the Promenade Hotel. "My room faces the beautiful South China Sea... Both places were a wondeful getaway for us after a hectic 11 months or so preparing for the wedding."

Chance meeting with Mr Long
A few of us decided at last minute to meet up over the New Year for a round of drinks at the food court in Taman Megah - Meng Tien. Only a few showed up but as always, it only takes a few Seaportian to make any outing enjoyable and memorable! It was also Azri's birthday so we bought him a drink. Yea... Cheapo guys we are... So only ONE drink. :)
Anyway, we also bumped into... Mr Long. Yes, the physics teacher famous for 'mind maps'. We found out that he's no longer with Seaport/ Sri Permata and has been teaching in Bandar Utama for a few years now.
But he's also no longer in Bandar Utama as he's currently in Australia with his family for the next two years or so. But I have managed to get his contact and will ask him to drop by this spot once he's settled-in...
In the meantime, here's how he looks with his Bandar Utama students.

LOW Siew Fung @ JAWS

In case you are wondering if this site has been hacked, fear not. It has not been hacked... Yet.
Essential Goodness Reflexology Centre actually belongs to our very own Jaws (LOW Siew Fung)! I bet many did not see this coming and thought she'd end up as an army drill sergeant or something like that. While she is definitely qualified and skilled to massage and heal you, she prefers to leave it to the more experienced masters there. However, she will be more than happy to accomodate any requests for her skills and hands.
So where is this place? It is located in Kota Kemuning. After the 1st Kota Kemuning roundabout (also known as the McD roundabout) from Kesas Highway, take the 3 o'clock turn - that means turn to the right.
Drive along that road. You will be able to see rows of shop-houses on your right. There is a small lake on your left as you drive along the main road. Essential Goodness Reflexology Centre is located behind NTS Restaurant. Across the center, you can see the Onking Electical shop. You definetely can't miss these two corner shops (referring to NTS and Onking).
As a Friend of Seaport, you get DISCOUNTS!!! Yes, just tell her you are "A friend of Seaport" and you will get the discounted rate instead.
*****
A bit off-topic for now. I would like to take this opportunity to again explain the reason for Friends of Seaport. This site started when a group of friends met up after many years and began to wonder what happened to the rest of the gang - people we hung out with, be it from Seaport or our neighbours like Seapark, Samad, Bukit Bintang, Kelana Jaya, Sri Aman and many more.
As we started to 'dig' further, we realised many actually lost touch with each other but would like to keep in touch again. Taking this one step further, we also realised there are a few of us who have started our own business... People like Siew Fung and Chin Ling, to name a few. So this site serves to help connect old friends together and for some, a start of a new network of friends.
This site is a FREE service dedicated to all Friends of Seaport. If you would like to update others about what is going on in your life, or if you have a business, just drop Adrian Tai a line at seaport@adriantai.com and we will work something out from there.
Coming soon... Updates on Mr & Mrs YAP Chih Hsiung!

Happy Birthday, Shin Yee!
Welcome to the 30s, my friend... heh heh...
Shin Yee is someone whom I have known for a long, long time through a mutual friend - CHEN Yen Yen (last I heard, she's in Singapore). Shin Yee is one really gila girl (hence the link called Psycho Girl in one of my sites) but she's also one really great friend. If she's not laughing away, she's not Shin Yee. That's how I will describe her.
How time flies for all of us. It seemed like only yesterday when we were in Standard 4. I believe that was the first time we were in the same class. If I'm not mistaken, you were sitting somewhere behind me. I was sitting next to Yin Fay (ok, where is this girl anyway?!). Then there's Standard 6 - TBS. IGC. FFF. Anyone still keeping those books?!
What's the point of bringing up all this? Well, it's just a way to say that we can now say this, "Those were the days...".
We're now in the 30s! Happy birthday once again!!!
By the way, this is NOT a subtle hint...

She is still in Malaysia but travels overseas, especially to Singapore and the Phillipines almos every month. She would definitely like to meet up with any Seaportian who is currently working in either one of the countries.
For those who can’t remember, Winnie was from 4 & 5 Marikh. And those who were there in Samad would remember her going head-on with JP and the infamous "attitude problem" group.

Or better known back in school as Wei Loong (affectionately called Thambi Loong in this site).
By popular demand, I managed to track down a photo of him along with the profile he has put up in his private site.

Here is what he has to say about himself:
I am an extrovert person who loves travelling, enjoy the beauty of nature, sporting, clubbing during weekend and like the taste of fine wine. My favourites are astrology, history, football and social science.
Basically,I'm an easy going, fun-loving, caring and understanding person. AND,I have a pair of small brown eye, kinda tanned & atheletic, have an oval face and SEXY legs.
SEXY legs?!? Anyone want to help verify that? :)
