Alumni AGM write-up
by atai @ 23:17 | Comments (20) | Filed under: gatherings

This is what greets you when you walk into the school:

My first thought was “Has the students from this school gotten that bad?”. Then I realised that the message could be meant for the teachers…

Anyway, somethings never change… Which is sometimes good… The canteen remains the way I remembered it…

Food has gotten better, I guess, from the menu that was posted…

Anyway, back to the AGM… In case you never realised, the Alumni’s registered name is actually - THE ALUMNI ASSOCIATION OF SEKOLAH MENENGAH SRI PERMATA PETALING JAYA SELANGOR. *phew*

Good news is we’ve adopted a shorter name during the AGM - SP Alumni.

The turnout was rather bad, in my opinion considering that the school’s been around for more than 20 years and less than 30 people attended the AGM. Oh well, things can only get better.

We have a new committee and they seem very, very serious about getting the Alumni up and running. So I sincerely hope everyone here will give their full support as well. Like any society or organisation, they need our support - be it financially or morally. So do register as a member, ok?

Honestly, there’s not much to say about the AGM. The minutes should be up on the Alumni website in a week or two. It will probably be Zaifuddin’s first task anyway… Yes, Zaifuddin (or Dean) has been elected Honorary Secretary.

I guess that’s all for now…

Seen here are two ex-students saying to each other “Syabas kerana anda hadir ke sekolah”

I am looking for you
by atai @ 22:19 | Comments (7) | Filed under: misc

Ever wondered what ever happened to the cute girl who sat next to you back in Standard 1? Or the jerk who used to pull your hair every recess? It has been that many years since we left primary school… Or secondary school for that matter.

Every now and then… I still wonder whatever happened to people I know like LAM Yoke Yen (if I remember correctly, she moved to Taiwan back in 1986), Mark CHONG, Ezral, HO Ching Lit, LEE Mun Fei, Manimaran and many more…?

This is also what made me start this blog… With the hope it will help connect one friend to another. After all, we are SEAPORTIANS. We are one of the few lucky ones to be able to call ourselves Seaportians (since the school is now called Sri Permata).

If you are like me and do wonder whatever happened to someone, just leave the name of the person, a brief description of the person (if you can still remember) and perhaps leave a contact so that the person you are looking for may contact you.

And if you happen to be the person or knows the person we are looking for, do ask them to drop by and leave a message in the comments…

LIM Li Ping
by atai @ 7:17 | Comments (7) | Filed under: updates

LIM Li Ping would like to get in touch with the rest of the gang. She has asked to put up this message as she wants to get in touch with everyone after ‘dropping out of the scene’ for quite sometime.

Li Ping has now started her own law firm somewhere in Mutiara Damansara. Yes, she is a lawyer, for those who did not realise.

Anyway, if you want to seek her service or just simply ask her out for yumcha (she is the boss, so she can yumcha anytime la), Li Ping can be contacted 012 3396690.

You can also drop your messages for her in the comments section.
